Last year I received results from an Ancestry DNA test. I was originally interested in learning more about my ethnicity. It was a total surprise to find out that I so Scandinavian. The German portion wasn't such a big shock since I love beer and pretzels so much. Never thought that spitting in that tube would have led me down this path.
I was matched to the Schrage family. I was able to narrow down whom I thought was my biological father. In February of 2017, I contacted Allan Schrage, he responded we met at a DNA lab in March. The results were conclusive that we are father and son, 99.99% match.
My journey over the past year has been fascinating, exciting and unreal at times. I have learned more about myself and where I originated from than I ever dreamed I would know.
